Kalsarikännit is a Deathpunk band from Berlin, founded in 2023.

The five musicians – Gyldenkam (vocals), Laserpat (lead guitar), Lola (bass), Thomas (rhythm guitar), and Sascha (drums) – blend influences from rock, punk, and metal into a powerful and catchy sound.

Kalsarikännit embody Deathpunk bursting with pure joy of life – an explosive fusion of infectious rock melodies, raw punk attitude, and grooving metal vibes. Their songs are little anthems to the absurd and humorous sides of life. Whether at the bar, on the couch, or in the mosh pit, Kalsarikännit invite you to not take yourself too seriously and to let go of everything that gives you a headache, at least for one night. The band lives by the motto: fun comes first.

And that’s exactly the feeling they bring straight to the crowd. In tune with the times yet wonderfully unbent, Kalsarikännit deliberately set themselves apart from the constant urge for self-optimization. Their name, inspired by Finnish lifestyle philosophy, stands for enjoyment, authenticity, and the freedom to celebrate yourself just as you are.

A highlight both on and off stage was their explosive show at Berlin’s legendary Lido.

The next exciting chapter is coming at the end of 2025: the EP “From The Couch To The Sky” captures everything this five-piece stands for – offering a powerful first taste of what Deathpunk will sound like in 2025.
